RPA were pleased to be appointed by the Developer to undertake the role of Employer’s Agent, Cost Manager and CDM Co-ordinator on the development at Dean Clarke House in Southernhay Exeter.
Dean Clarke House Development consisted of a Grade II listed conversion, formerly a Victorian Hospital, into 24 luxury aparments, ‘Thrive’ offices and high end Student Accommodation.
The project has been developed over two phases. The first phase involved the delivery of Dean Clarke Lofts, these being 30 luxury Student Lofts/Studio Apartments. Dean Clarke Lofts has just completed its first year in the student market with all units sold for the entire academic year!
Phase 2 of the Development comprises of 24 luxury 2-3 bedroom apartments, communal facilites, high end commercial office spaces and communal gardens.
Due to the very nature of the existing building and its Grade II listed rating it has been essential to work closely with the Design Team, Contractor and Client, as well as local conservation consultants to ensure that the building has been refurbished sensitively without compromising the quality of the final product.
