RPA were engaged by Melin Homes to act as Employers Agent and Quantity Surveyor on a scheme based in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The scheme, on Castle Road, Llangynidr was for the construction of 10 new residential units along with the infrastructure for a possible future development. Due to the location the site was subject to strict planning conditions resulting in traditional stone walling techniques being required to construct the units.
Unfortunately during the project the original contractor went in to administration leading to RPA being heavily involved with the re-tendering of the project in conjunction with Melin Homes and the NHBC, with R&M Williams being the successful Contractor.
RPA are pleased to see that the scheme has now been formally completed with Director Tudor Butler commenting, “It is great to see such a fantastic scheme finally completed. Although the scheme has been quite challenging due to a number of factors, I think all parties agree that it looks great and fits in so well with the surrounding beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park.”
