This year a team of 6 from RPA are taking part in the Brecon Trekfest 2013 to raise money for the George Thomas Hospice. The challenge will see us attempting to trek 54 miles over the highest peaks of the Brecon Beacons in just 24 hours (No Sleep!!!) over the weekend of the 8th & 9th June. Challenging!
James Christian of RPA put forward the charity commenting “The George Thomas Hospice is a fantastic charity which does an awful lot of work in and around the local area; any support that we can give them I know will go towards a great cause”
RPA already had links with the Charity after acting as the Quantity Surveyor during the construction of their new Headquarters back in 2005. George Thomas Hospice Care is a major provider of free consultant-led community specialist palliative care to those facing cancer and other life threatening illnesses, in the Cardiff area. They also offer great comfort to families and carers of those who are suffering.
The Team are taking the challenge seriously with planned training excursions nearly every weekend between now and the challenge date. To follow their progress please visit the website below where updates, pictures and videos will be posted showing how the training is progressing. And please donate as much as you can to support the George Thomas Hospice, and drive the boys over them there hills!
