Goodsheds wins again for the Regeneration CEW Awards 2021!

We are proud and delighted to be part of the scheme at Goodsheds which has just won the Regeneration CEW Award 2021 and having previously taken the award for The Welsh Government in the Creating Economic Growth section recognising it as the best project across all categories at the 2020 Ystadau Cymru 2020 Awards. The Goodsheds project is a great example of collaboration between the public and private sectors, brought about by developer DS Properties, the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Welsh Government and Newydd Housing Association. The project is split in to 2 distinct parts. The 1st being the renovation of the existing GoodSheds Building and installation of a ‘Shipping Container Village’ which is a natural extension of the innovation quarter of Barry. The scheme will support a number of superb restaurants, tech hubs, outdoor gym, cinema screens, a shipping container village, farmers markets and more. The 2nd part is the construction of 42 Apartments that will further complement the project. These units are being built by construction partner Jehu for Newydd Housing Association, who will manage and own the apartment block. Newydd will be instrumental in providing affordable homes to the local community and users of the innovation quarter. RPA are delighted to be fully involved in both parts of the project and look forward to the successful completion of the project.
