Re-cladding works commence on Aquila & Galleon House

Re-cladding works have commenced on two high rise residential tower blocks within Cardiff Bay. RPA, acting as Employers Agent and Cost Consultant are assisting the landlord, Cardiff Community Housing Association deliver both schemes. Cardiff Community Housing Association has been awarded £2.6million in a capital grant from Welsh Government’s High Rise Residential Building (HRRB) Safety Fund. This grant will fund fire safety improvement works for two high rise residential buildings, Aquila House and Galleon House in Cardiff Bay, which are both over 18m in height. Jonathan Jones (Corporate Director of Property at CCHA said ”We are delighted to have been awarded this grant from Welsh Government. The safety of our residents is of the utmost importance to us and we continue to take the opportunity to improve the safety of our homes to the highest levels that we can”.
